Pharma Insider: A conversation with John McInerney of Buildup Steam
Buildup STEAM, a non profit organization (501c3), is a robotics studio designed to promote hands on play and STEAM education through customized programs at the bedsides of pediatric patients in children’s hospitals.
Buildup STEAM works with the staff of children’s hospitals to provide bedside robotics to patients in the hospital. The program utilizes a LEGO cart on wheels, which enables the LEGOs and robots to be brought to the patents bedside.
Buildup STEAM currently operates in two Michigan hospitals, with plans to expand.
